Quality Management System
From April 12th 2021, Royal Mail are writing to all franking machine users to announce that mail marked without a Mailmark barcode will shortly be invalid. This announcement will affect thousands of machines across the UK.
This means that shortly, Royal Mail will only accept franked mail from customers who use a Mailmark franking machine.
The reason for this change is to allow all Royal Mail products to utilise barcode technology - this is a more efficient and accurate way of processing mail. This change will affect thousands of machines currently in use.
If your machine prints a round indicia (see the image to the right), then you will need to upgrade your franking machine.
If your machine prints a barcode, then your machine is already printing a Mailmark indicia.
No problem - give our service desk a call on 01992 45 11 25, or fill out the form on this page and we'll talk you through the process.
The decision to retire non-Mailmark machines was made by Royal Mail in order to utilise the barcode technology that all Royal Mail products will use in the future. Royal Mail want to ensure the future of franked mail, and that you can continue to save money on postage.
The decision to retire non-Mailmark machines was a Royal Mail decision, and not specific to Frama. It covers all franking machines that produce the 'round' indicia.
At Frama, we know that this can seem like an extra problem at a time when you have enough on your plate. This is why we have created a solution that not only upgrades your machine, but covers all of your outgoing communications. Our Serema solution, in addition to the franking machine, offers encrypted emails and on-line document signing in one single contract.
Serema is a unique solution that cannot be found anywhere else. Click here for more details.
Of course, if you just want to continue using your franking machine, that's fine too. Frama can upgrade your machine quickly and easily, and even save you money compared to what you were paying previously - a Frama machine is online, and connects via LAN instead of a phone line and can save up to £180 a year on phone costs alone.
For more information, complete the form on this page and one of our specialists will talk you through the simple process.
