Beware the VAT Trap & Unscrupulous Sales Tactics

With the introduction of VAT to some of Royal Mail’s products and services on 31st January 2011, some unscrupulous salespeople’s eyes will be glinting at the prospect of replacement/upgrade sales. But, Frama says, beware the overzealous salesman.

When the VAT introduction takes place in January 2011, the latest Frama franking range is fully compliant and these franking machine users will not require a replacement.

We are also pleased to announce that spare parts, consumables and tariff updates etc will continue to be available from your local supplier/maintainer. All VAT-compliant franking machines will operate as usual and you will be able to go about your normal business without fear of error.

What happens now?

While it is true that some older models will become non-compliant from the date of the VAT introduction, Frama would like to point out that the majority of Frama franking machine users will be unaffected.

If you receive a call from a salesperson, Frama advises that you contact us for guidance.
